Having a key cut by code allow for an original key to be duplicated, instead of trace copying a worn key which duplicates the faults and inaccuracies of that old key; Keys cut by code avoid these faults being duplicated, and can allow for the cutting of lost or untraceable damaged keys (i.e. snapped, bent etc) as long as you know the code.

Where's My Code?

The code can be found in different places depending on what the lock is. Most lockers, filling cabinets, drawers and garage doors have a stamped number on the front of the lock, and the key will have a corresponding number also stamped on it.

If you loose your car keys, you have two options for replacing them. One is to contact the dealer, and another is to contact us on the freephone number above, and allow us to take care of your lost car keys headache.

The dealer may not be able to fit you in for several weeks, and you could find you have to wait for replacement keys to be delivered from over seas!

Our replacement keys are in-stock, and always provided at a much lower price than you will find at a dealer, and anywhere else for that matter.

All replacement car keys are either cut to code, pattern or lock. Blank keys are cut at with the latest key cutting machinery that utilises computer software to ensure all new car keys produced are a perfect fit.

Broken or misplaced car keys can be re-manufactured and cut to code from the vehicle door or ignition lock.

If your car is fitted with an immobiliser system, it will only operate with a correctly programmed transponder key and we will need to reprogram a new key to your vehicles main ECU or immobiliser box.

Immobilisers have been mandatory in all new cars sold in the UK since October 1998; Early models use a static code in the ignition key (or fob) which is checked against the vehicle's Engine Control Unit (ECU) for a match. If the code is unrecognised, the ECU will not allow fuel to flow and ignition to take place. Later models use rolling codes or advanced cryptography to defeat copying of the code from the key or ECU.

This system was introduced to reduce vehicle crime and prevent cars from being started without the correct key or by being 'hot wired'. A broken or lost transponder car key will result in the vehicle not starting upon turning the key in the ignition.
